There is a huge difference between Christianity and Churchianity, but to the average person they do not see a difference. In my opinion a Christian is a person that follows Jesus Christ twenty four hours a day. They are not perfect but they try to live by biblical standards. Not only do they meet with other Christians but they read and study the bible outside of church. They read the bible from cover to cover and when finished they start over again.

A Churchian goes to church just about every time the doors are open. They love the social aspect, the music, the emotional high, the etertainment (Pastor reads a few bible verses then tells a bunch of etertaining stories). A Churchian might read the bible at home but it is usually the insprational verse of the day or some small devotional with a bible verse added to it. Most Churchians do not read the bible. You must ask yourself what is wrong when people attend church for 20 to 30 years and have never read the bible from cover to cover one time. You do not earn frequent church attendance points every time you go to church so that you accumulate enough points to have eternal life. A Churchian is devoted to their denomination first and to Jesus second. Most even worship their pastor so much that they do not question any of his teachings. If he says the sky is green and the grass is blue they shout "Amen" and never give it a second thought.

Sometimes the hardest person to be honest with is ourselves. Take a good look at how you live your life, are you a Churchian or a Christian?

love missy. p.s. i love this key board! i want one
This is a very good way of telling people the difference. It's long enough to get some good details out, while it is short enough not to bore some people who can't stand sitting still for long periods of time. I have to say I agree with this 100%. Hope to see more things come out of this. By the way there is a typo in the first sentence I believe. You forgot an I in churchianity.
Love,
your son.
